Gearing up for summer!

I've been working on some summer things for Elsie the past few weeks. I couldn't find a RTW* hat small enough for her little head that had a wide enough brim, so I made one. Thanks to Julie for the Sew Baby Hat Shoppe pattern she handed down to me. I combined a couple different ones and widened the brim. I think Elsie likes it. :)

I also tested a knitting pattern for a designer I "know" from a diaper sewing forum. Next up are some capris to go with it -- although the little denim skirt is pretty cute with it, too! (Thanks, Stef!)

* Ray pointed out to me that RTW was, in his words, "crafty geek speak". For future reference, RTW = ready to wear. :)

Ready-to-wear or prêt-à-porter is the fashion design term for clothing marketed in a finished condition, in standard clothing sizes (in casual usage, off the rack or "off-the-peg").

Oh, so cute! Elsie is well on her way to being ready for summer!

Hey, I know what RTW means! I don't think I'm a "crafty geek" though...just a wannabe. ;-) LOL.

Hey! I didn't know you guys had a blog. I'll link you to mine. Elsie is getting so big! A girl that is in the playgroup I am in is really into baby wearing and said she was in a group too. Maybe it's yours! I heard you are in stroller aerobics too... I'm switching over to Broadview next session, so I'll see you then!
