Recent craftiness

And some not-so-recent....

These first few are from a swap I did in July. I could swear I just mailed them! The two bag/hat/chalkboard rollup sets are for 5-year-old twins. The bags were modified from this tute, and the chalkboard rollups from this one. Hats are slightly tweaked versions of the bucket hat from my favorite, SewBaby's Hat Shoppe.

The knit monster (pattern here) and matching bag are for a two-year-old. His mom said he went to sleep the first night singing "one-eye, one-eye". I have been commissioned to make another monster for O, although his will be orange and have anywhere from five to ninety eyes, depending on the day. I think five would be a more manageable number.

One of Owen's little buddies had a rock n' roll themed birthday party yesterday, so I thought he needed a guitar bag inspired by this tutorial. It was cuter in person, I think. Owen has requested one of these, too, and what else am I going to do with my leftover pleather?!

Last up is my first sock in twenty years of on-and-off knitting. I was testing the pattern for Amy of Prajna Mama. It took a month (which is why I've never knit socks before -- teeny yarn and teeny needles!). And I still have the other one to do! I like how it turned out, though, and can see myself knitting more socks when I don't have to reserve all of my patience for a certain 3-year-old we all know. Whenever Ray saw me working on it, he'd say, "You're never going to wear that!" I might just frame it. ;)

Wow Sarah! You are very talented and crafty too! I'm impressed. I agree with Owen, the monster is very cute.
